Looks like it’s one of those billing scams, they say EE just to seem legit. The link in the text about tax stuff seems proper at first glance. But once you click it, it looks just like the real EE site, pretty sneaky and very believable.

Got a message saying my service might get cut off because they can’t process my payment, but I already sorted the bill ages ago.

Got a text saying "EE: We tried to charge your most recent bill but it didn't go through. To keep your service on, please visit: https://ee-uk-net.web.app". I got this message on the 14th, but I don’t pay my bills until the 21st, so I'm pretty sure that link is dodgy.
