I got a call saying they were from EE and warned me that my latest bill hadn't gone through. Then they wanted me to click on a link. I do have EE myself but this message definitely wasn’t from their real number, so it was clear it was a scam.

Woke up this morning to a message at 6am claiming to be from EE about a failed payment, with a link to click on. Problem is, I’m not even an EE customer.

Got a text supposedly from EE saying they couldn't take payment for my last bill and threatening to cut off my service if I don’t follow a dodgy link. Seems like a typical smishing scam to me. I don’t even use EE or owe them anything, so definitely a fake message. Stay careful!

Like others said, I paid EE on April 3rd. Then out of nowhere, I got a message at 7.47 in the morning. Honestly, whoever called has to be a complete muppet!
