Got a call from some bloke looking for an Ann Gatsby. No idea who that is!

This number rang me up claiming they were from CURRYS, saying there was some deal where I could get a FREE iPhone or Samsung. They wanted me to say which phone I use. Since I work in telecom myself, I questioned them why they’d be calling from a mobile number instead of an official Currys business line. I also asked what the next question would be and where they’d found my number. They started rattling off a bunch of different network providers, none of which I’m with. Then the caller snapped at me, saying “madam, you’re wasting my time” and just hung up.

Got a text from this number too, about my latest 02 bill not going through. Im actually with 02 and just looked at my direct debit details, everything’s fine and i’m not even due to pay until next month. Pretty sure this is a big scam, so don’t tap on any links in that message!

total scam alert. got a call from someone claiming to be from 02 saying there was an issue with my latest bill and that i needed to update my payment info on some dodgy 02 site. i had already paid the bill two days earlier by direct debit, so something felt off. didn’t click any links or give them anything.
