07553760348 called me, some bloke from Pakistan who actually knew my name. I decided to mess with him a bit since these muppets ring me up like 7 times daily. Ended up getting proper riled with me and started calling me a stupid man 😂. Sorted - blocked them straight away.

Got a call from someone with a Pakistani accent saying they were from CAB about sorting out debt. They already had loads of my info like my name and address, which was kinda creepy.

Got a call from an Irish bloke who asked for me by name. When I asked what company he was from, he just called me a f#####g P##i and told me to F##k off before slamming the phone down. Honestly, you’ve gotta feel sorry for people like that - what sort of life do they live to think it’s okay to speak to others like that? Their parents must be ashamed for bringing up such rude brats. Clearly, bad parenting and missing dads lead to these sorts of jobs where folks have no self-respect left at all.

Got a call from 07391267404, and the bloke said his name was Sam, claiming he was from the criminal investigation unit and already knew my first name. I just told him to "carry on" and he ended the call right away. He sounded like he had an Asian accent. Felt like a total scam, like they wanted me to freak out and call back, which would probably have cost me about £20 or so.

I just had a call from this bloke who was seriously rude when I told him I couldn’t really hear him. He immediately called me a liar and said he could hear me perfectly fine! Then he started saying I was in debt and owed money to creditors. I told him off and to jog on! Proper nasty guy!!!

Somebody said they were from the CAB about debts. When I told them the CAB wouldn’t ring up like that, they just ended the call straight away. Stay well clear of these folks!

A guy called who wasn't great at English, said he worked for the CAB and claimed I owed money on credit cards or loans. I told him that wasn’t right because I don't have any, but he kept saying I did. I told him his info was incorrect, then he shouted “you liar, you bloody liar” and just hung up. Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming he was from some debt advice group, offering to clear my debts - which I don’t even have. He asked how much I owed, so I told him £500,000. TOTALLY A SCAM - I’ve already put my number on the TPS and done everything to block these calls but they somehow got my name and said they were from Citizens Advice Bureau. Got a call from a guy claiming to be from Citizens Advice, saying I had some unsecured debts I supposedly owed. Bit funny because I checked my credit score just yesterday and it was 999 - top-notch. Plus, I recently retired from Citizens Advice, and as their website clearly says: anyone truly from Citizens Advice would only call to ask about your experience with their service and if your issue got resolved. If you'd used their service and agreed to be contacted, then you might get a feedback call. This definitely didn’t sound right.

Sounds like one of those Indian or Pakistani scammers - bet they do this all day, every day. These muppets just want easy work and don’t fancy a proper job at all. Stay sharp when you get calls like this - don’t tell them anything, just hang up and block the number straight away. If they ring your landline, definitely report it to the police on 101; they need enough complaints before taking action. Though, I’ve heard loads are using IPX setups over in India or Pakistan to fake UK mobile numbers. Any legit company wouldn’t be cold-calling from a mobile, ever.

Never share any personal info if you didn’t make the call, even if it sounds official. Scammers can fake caller IDs to make it look like it’s your bank or credit card company. If you’re not sure, tell them you’ll ring back. Usually, if it’s a scam, they’ll try to keep you talking to pressure you.

I just got a call from these muppets pretending to be from Citizen's Advice about debt repayments I supposedly owe (which I don't). I asked the woman to say her name again but she just mumbled something. Then I asked where she was calling from and she said Manchester before hanging up on me really quickly. Anyone not being careful or too trusting might easily fall for these scammers since they start off pretending they’re from the CAB. Make sure you warn your mates about them!
