+44 739 9730 061 called me claiming to be HMRC and tried to get me to click on a dodgy link. Definitely a phishing scam, be warned!

Got a call from a lady claiming I’d signed up for Amazon Prime, which I definitely hadn’t. Asked her to cancel it and then she put me through to her ‘manager’. He wanted me to download some screen sharing app so he could see what I was doing on my phone and laptop. I told him I was going to contact my bank to verify the charge, and he just hung up. Tried calling back but the number was no longer recognised. Reported it to my bank and blocked the number straight away.

I usually pick up unknown calls and pretend to be from somewhere random! If it was a mate, they’d probably tell me to quit being daft!! When they try an accent back, I just confuse them even more 🤪 This time they didn’t say a word, so I’m just gonna block the number.
