I had a call from someone claiming to be from Legal & General wanting details about a life insurance policy for me and my partner. Trouble is, my partner died three years ago! I asked them to send any info in writing and requested the address they were sending it from. They said they couldn’t disclose that due to privacy reasons. Then they asked for my email; when I asked what email they had on file, they refused to say again, citing confidentiality. I ended the call there and then!

Got a call from Legal & General about insurance policies I supposedly have with them, plus they wanted all my personal details. They started asking about my savings, which felt off. The person on the phone said there might be better options for my policies and promised to ring back in ten minutes - but never got back to me. Sounds like a fishy call to me.
