Got a voicemail from someone called Jane claiming to be from HSBC Meadowhall. She left a number to call back, but it was actually her mobile, not the branch. Sounds like a total scam to me. I also checked a comment about this from 14/6/19 on this site, and it seemed dodgy as well. Be careful!

Totally genuine call. I rang HSBC to confirm a voicemail they'd left me. They only wanted half my postcode and part of my date of birth, didn’t ask for anything else personal. Spoke to a proper HSBC staff member who double-checked with their advanced team too. No dodgy stuff at all.

Got a call from someone saying she was Jane at HSBC Meadowhall, asking if I wanted to book a time to pop into the branch to see if they could help me save some cash. She told me my name, then mentioned the first few digits of my dob and asked me to verify the rest. Same with the start of my postcode, but when I didn’t give her the last part, she still rattled off my direct debit details. Bit odd she was ringing from a mobile number too.

I saw a missed call from this number but didn't pick up. Later, I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Jane at HSBC Meadowhall, telling me to ring her back on that same number. I wasn’t about to call back, so I just blocked it straight away.
