Got a call from someone saying he’s a doctor in the Syrian military, showed loads of pics of a handsome bloke. Tried ringing back but no answer. Then he asked for my address to send flowers and wanted to set up a “secure” call through an email ending in @consultant.com - clearly a dodgy one. Said it was via the military, asking for £200 upfront with a promise to refund it later so we could chat safely. This all came from a dating site. Total scam.

I keep getting annoying calls from this number every single day for the past week, even though I don’t pick up. It’s so frustrating. I’ve finally got around to installing an app that lets me block it now.

I got a call from someone pretending to be a doctor in Syria, but it was obvious they were a scammer from Africa. Totally suspicious behaviour.
