I got a message saying a direct debit was going to be arranged for this place called Workhouse Gym, whatever that is, with some weird reference number. I've never even heard of that gym and it's not even here, it’s in another country! The message was signed by someone named Ashboirne.

This has gotta be a scam. I blocked the number ages ago, but now I’m getting constant texts saying something like “Black Friday deals finishing soon at Simply Gym Swindon, save up to £34.99, act fast as discounted spots are limited! Grab yours today.” The annoying bit is there’s no sender number, so I can’t block them at all. So frustrating!

Got a text today saying my direct debit with Northern Fitness gym is now sorted for £26 a month starting December. It included a reference number, a security code, and told me to reply with a code if I had questions. Problem is, I don’t belong to that gym and never even heard of them before. The message ended with the name ‘Ashbourne’. Definite scam if you ask me.

Got a call saying my gym direct debit in Wrexham’s been cancelled. Thing is, I’ve never signed up for any gym there and I don’t even live anywhere near Wrexham. Pretty clear it’s a scam.

Got a text saying my direct debit didn't go through for a gym that's in another part of the country I've never even been to. Had a look at my bank statement and there’s no record of any such payment. The message asked me to reply to a short number, 60777, and it was signed off with the name Ashbourne. Feels a bit dodgy, like it could be a scam if you reply, so I didn’t bother messing with it. Still no idea what it's about really.
