I got a call from this number on my cell, but as soon as I picked up, they hung up straight away. Then, when I tried calling back, it just wouldn‘t go through.

Got a text from 07377463592 saying I've added a new payee, which is odd as I've never banked with HSBC. Tried calling back but it turned out to be an EE mobile number. Definitely sketchy and feels like a scam to me.

Got a message claiming to be from HSBC saying someone called Mr C Jones has been added as a payee on my account, with a link to stop the payment. I don’t even bank with HSBC. Just ignored it, blocked the number and deleted the text. Definitely don't tap that link!

Got a call saying I supposedly set up a new payee with HSBC, which is odd because I don't even have an HSBC bank account.

In the past hour, I got a couple of texts from different mobile numbers, both saying the same thing about adding a new payee called Mr C Jones. Problem is, I’m not even with HSBC, so this has to be some kind of scam.

Got a message saying I’ve added a new payee called Mr C Jones with HSBC, but I don’t even have an HSBC account. Just ignore it and definitely don’t click any links. Better to delete it straight away.
