Got a text saying I’d added a new payee through Halifax’s app, which I definitely didn’t. It told me to click a link if it wasn’t me: [#]denialnewpayee[###]. Thing is, the named payee doesn’t even have a Halifax account, so I’m pretty sure this is some sort of scam trying to get you to visit a dodgy website. No way I’m clicking on that to find out what it’s about. Feels quite risky to me.
