Just got a call to my dad from this number claiming he owed the tax office a big sum. People who are more at risk might get really stressed about this sort of scam, but remember, the real HMRC always sends letters and never calls you threatening legal trouble. Just bin any voicemails you get from unknown numbers. And if you do end up talking to someone, just tell them to get lost and hang up straight away.

I just ended the call straight away. Everyone knows hmrc wouldn't ever get in touch like this or use a mobile phone number for this kinda thing. Feels like a proper scam to me, and i reckon if you call back, you’ll get hit with a huge bill and possibly fall for whatever con they’re trying to run. Definitely dodgy and a total waste of time.
