NEVER respond or message this number. They put up a bogus post on care.com, looking for someone to care for a “93-year-old granny” paying £25 per hour. I foolishly got in touch. They sent me a link claiming it was for a security check, saying if I didn’t do it, I’d be rejected. The link looked like it ended with gov.uk (but it was TOTALLY fake!) and when I clicked, it opened a chat window with the official gov.uk design, which fooled me at first. They promised to sort my check out within an hour. I went along with it and they asked me to click another link, which made me suspicious. Then they started asking for my bank login details including customer number and PIN, claiming they needed to confirm a £9.90 payment for ‘processing the security check’. I rang my bank immediately, and they told me this was a classic scam. The scammer’s name was apparently Eli G. Beware!
