So today I got a message from some bloke saying they were from Halifax, warning me about a supposed new payee I hadn't recognised. But Halifax usually makes it clear who they are, like using official emails or texts, not some dodgy mobile number, especially when it's about fraud stuff. Just a heads up, don't get taken in and avoid clicking on any weird links. Seems they're having a go at tricking folks out of their cash again. Hope this saves someone else from falling for it.

Today i got a text supposedly from Halifax about some strange new payee on my account. But Halifax never just texts from some random number, especially about fraud - they always make sure to say who they are proper. Dont fall for this, dont click on any links they send. Just wanted to warn others because these scammers keep finding new tricks to steal money from honest folks.

Got a message saying: EE couldn’t process your payment, your services will stop if you don’t update your billing details at [#]ee.securebiillingreview.help. Seems like a classic phishing attempt to me. The comma after "payment" and the capital ‘S’ starting the next word looked odd. Plus, the number was from the UK, but I’m living in Spain with no accounts or bills over there, so definitely sketchy.

I've been getting calls from someone saying they're EE and that I'll lose my service if I don't update my payment details. Thing is, I don't even have an account with them linked to this number 07310436193. Feels like a scam to me!
