Have a look at the last several posts here, maybe 8 or 9. Some folks already shared what this con involves and how you can report it. If this scam number was known by every phone company, it would probably be marked as suspicious everywhere. The only way to fight these scams is by reporting them. And seriously, don’t bother calling back or texting numbers you don’t recognise.

Some comments further down really break down this scam and how to handle it. Just to warn you, if someone falls for the recruitment scam, it’s not just about losing money or having their identity nicked - the dodgy software they trick you into downloading can spread itself to all your contacts too. This so-called job promises great pay, work from home, and flexible hours with the company’s software supplied. Reporting these scams isn’t just about saving those who get duped, it helps protect us all in the long run!

Got a text saying “lets address this now”, just blocked the number and reported it straight away.

If you reply to these messages, you’re probably opening the door to some really dodgy recruitment scams that sound too good to be true. After that, you might get bombarded with the newfangled versions of those old wangiri call back scams. From there, it’s just a flood of different tricks trying to take your cash. Seriously, don’t ring or text back numbers you don’t recognise - it’ll end up costing you. There’s a post down below explaining how to report these sneaky attempts to nick our money.

Avoid responding to messages like “Can I have a word?” It’s definitely a trick to get you to reply so they can sneak past anti-scam protections. Once you do, they’ll try to sell you bogus car insurance. Complete con job.

Got a message from the same number saying "Let's align on this." I nearly replied, but then decided against it.

Got a text saying "can I have a quick word?" but they didn’t say who they were or what it was about. Bit strange not knowing what’s up.

Got a text saying "I know you're busy, but..." so I just blocked the number and reported it straight away.

I got a text from someone saying, "I need to run something by you." Not sure what they wanted, but sounded a bit suspicious to me. Might have been a scam or some telemarketer, best to be careful with those random messages.

Got a weird text asking, "How about a quick two-hour work session?" Seems like they're just checking if this number's active. Best not to reply or click anything.

This number just asked if I could spare five minutes later on. Wouldn’t bother with it!

Received a weird message out the blue, something like "If you're planning a break soon...". Pretty sure they're just checking if this number's still active.

They sent me a strange message sayin "I need to inform you about..." which felt really odd.
