Got a weird text on my phone from something called 'flask'. No number showed up, but it had the same rubbish people mention here about HSBC, some Mrs K Adams, a payment to £418 and a suspicious link. Thing is, the message itself doesn't even appear in my inbox. Totally strange, never had anything like this happen before 😕

I got this weird ‘flash’ message pop up on my phone. It didn’t show any number but had the same stuff folks are chatting about here like HSBC, some Mrs K Adams, a new payee for £418 and a suspicious link. Just got a flash message that said “Hey, a new payee MRS K ADAMS has been added on your account for £418”. Bit odd, don’t have any clue who that is!

Got a message claiming it was from O2 saying my bank refused the payment for my recent bill. It asked me to update my details through a link like [#]myo2[###].bill301[###]?o2=2. The person on the phone called themselves Leanne Adams. Total scam, be careful!!

Today at 10:58 I got a text from +447838696406 saying something about a payee request for MRS K ADAMS on my HSBC mobile banking. It asked me to check it out on security.hsbcuk.payee-verify[###] if I didn’t do it. Looks dodgy to me!

Got a text this morning at around 10:58 from HSBC saying something about a payee request for a MRS K ADAMS on my account via their mobile banking. It looked a bit dodgy so I reckon if you didn’t make that request you should check out their site at security.hsbcuk.payee-verify[###]. Could be a scam, so watch out!

On 22nd April 2020 at 11:54, I got a text saying something about "HSBC: Payee request for Mrs K Adams on your account via HSBC mobile banking. If this isn’t you, please check out: security.hsbe.notify-change-now{###}". I don't even use HSBC, so I’m just going to disregard it. Looks like a bunch of others have had the same message, so I reckon it’s a phishing scam.

Got a dodgy message supposedly from HSBC, saying there’s a payee request for Mrs K Adams on my account via their mobile banking. Said if it wasn’t me, to check a sketchy link supposedly from HSBC security. I’m not even a customer of HSBC and definitely didn’t tap on that suspicious link. Seen others here mention similar scams coming from various numbers. Seems like a proper phishing attempt.
