Got a call from a woman with what sounded like a faint Indian accent, saying my internet and phone would be disconnected soon. She asked me to press 1 or something, but I just told her she was a scammer and ended the call straight away.

Got a call a few minutes ago from someone saying my Virgin broadband’s IP was getting hacked and I’d better get to my PC straight away so they could help fix it. I told them I was at work and didn’t really buy it. Then they said I should just pop home and sort it there. I replied I’d ring Virgin’s official number later, not some sketchy mobile one! They didn’t seem too pleased about that!

Some bloke rang saying he was from Sky, warning me my internet would get cut off at midnight. I told him straight up he was trying to scam me and that my internet was working perfectly fine. I’d even spoken to Sky earlier that day and they never mentioned anything about a disconnection. He then claimed it was a message from my router, but honestly, I just told him to jog on and hung up. Definitely a scammer, so I’m blocking this number for good. SCAM ALL THE WAY!

Got loads of calls earlier from a number saying it's BT, with some robot voice telling me my internet's been hacked and if I don’t hit No.1, they'll cut me off. Definitely a scam, nothing to do with BT at all. If they want to pretend, they should at least get their facts straight!

07247552852 popped up on my phone once more - yep, another dodgy scam call. It was one of those robotic voice things, nowhere near as entertaining as that HMRC person from India or Pakistan who got all shouty when I challenged them. Honestly, just block the number, folks.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, said they wanted to check some info. I told them I used to have a contract there, so they asked for my badge number, which made me laugh. When I asked what gave them the right to ask, they said they were from the legal team. I wasn’t convinced and they just chuckled nervously before mumbling something and hanging up. Best to just block this number. Sounds like it’s from an Indian call centre using a mobile line...

Someone from this number called me but I didn’t return the call. I sent a text to see who it was but the number doesn’t seem to get texts, which struck me as a bit odd. Sounds like a scam to me.

Today I got three calls all at once, and when I answered, they told me there’s some kind of legal case against me for money laundering, and that my national insurance number was frozen or something. It sounded dodgy, so I looked up the number online and saw loads of people saying the same thing. Definitely blocking it now.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent being really aggressive about some tax I supposedly owe. He claimed there’s a court case against me and said if I don’t settle up straight away, they’ll seize my bank account, National Insurance, house, and car - or even send the police round to arrest me. When I asked which company he was with, since he said he was from a third party linked to HMRC, he just hung up. Tried ringing the number back but it won’t go through.

Got a call from someone pretending to be my internet provider, telling me there were errors in my Windows Event Viewer. They made it sound urgent and directed me to check it myself, but honestly, you always get some errors there even if your computer's fine. Then they asked me to install TeamViewer so they could "fix" my internet issues remotely. Needless to say, I didn’t trust them and refused to download anything. If you get a call like this, just hang up - don’t let them take control of your PC!
