Just got a call at 6.37pm from someone who said he was 'John' with a thick Indian accent. He mentioned something about my 'recent car crash'. When I asked him, "Which accident are you talking about?" he immediately ended the call! Sounds like a clear scam to me, probably trying to trick folks who might actually have been in a real accident. The call lasted only about 12 seconds!

Just got another call at 6:54PM. They used the same name, but sounded different this time. I said pretty much what I did before, but asked them to give me more details about this supposed car crash since I’ve never been in one in my 11 years of driving. The bloke just had a laugh and then quickly ended the call. I’m flagging this one as dodgy since they were way more aggressive and impolite than the previous “John”.

Just got a call from 07042 233060, some bloke saying he was from "?Morgan" Insurance thing. Good ol’ heavily accented guy, seemed more like from India or Pakistan, not East Asia. He was asking about a car accident I supposedly had in the past couple years. Couldn’t give me any specifics, just kept throwing questions my way trying to catch me out. After I didn’t give anything useful, he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the ‘Accident Centre’. When I asked how they got my number, the guy on the line - had a strong accent - quickly got pretty rude. I told him there are laws against these kinds of scammy calls and said I was recording. Then he asked for my postcode so he could come over and ###! He kept repeating it, sounding more aggressive each time. I just said this was pointless and ended the call. Really unpleasant and quite intimidating.

A bloke with a really strong Indian accent was on the phone, with loads of noise in the background, talking about some 'car crash you had 2 years back'. I asked, 'What accident exactly?', but he couldn’t give me a straight answer. Then I asked where he got the info from, and he said 'your insurance company'. When I asked which one, after a long silence he said 'Aviva'. I told him that's not right and to try again, then he just hung up! I actually find these cold calls quite amusing, twisting the caller's words and making them mess up is the best bit!

I’m on the TPS list and yet keep getting annoying cold calls from 07042233060, very dodgy ones about an accident I never had. When you're waiting for genuine calls about important stuff, these nuisance calls are a proper pain and could even be unsafe if you have to stop work or machinery just to answer. It’s against the rules and misuse of the system. Honestly, BT could put a stop to this easily and for no charge if they wanted to.

I played along, telling him I hurt my big toe trying to get out of my car. The bloke said he was calling from Manchester and right away asked how I was, but I didn’t bother answering because I knew he wasn’t really caring about how I felt. Then he went on about me having a car accident last year, which I told him was rubbish, and he just hung up on me straight away. It’s so bloody annoying getting these calls and there’s no way to ring them back!

Got a call this morning from an asian guy who sounded really friendly, using my first name and saying he was from some accident advice helpline. I told him I didn’t trust him and asked to be taken off their list. Then he got quite rude, saying he’d never remove me and would keep ringing me every day. When I phoned the number back to see who it was, all I got was some recorded message in Punjabi with a girl chatting away nonstop. Really hope I’m not stuck with a bill for this dodgy call :(

Got a call today at 13:20 from a man with an Asian accent, claimed to be with accident services. I told him I wasn't interested in whatever he was trying to push.
