I picked up the phone but then the call just dropped. I checked 1471 and it showed a local number, so I called back to find out they've apparently changed the number to this one. After seeing what others had said, I definitely decided against ringing it! Just yesterday I got a similar call from another local number and didn’t bother returning it. I rang 01256580950 and got an automated voice telling me to ring 07040001234. When I did, it just played music nonstop for ages - like 21 minutes - before I gave up. Ended up getting charged £9.55 for the call, which was a right rip-off.

When I returned the call, I was greeted by the recorded voice of an American lady instructing me to call a different number, 07040001234. Quite strange, isn’t it?
