Number showed up on BT Call Guardian with no ID, so guessing it’s either a telesales or scammer. Went ahead and blocked it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my phone line and they needed to run some tests. The moment I said it sounded a bit dodgy, they just went straight offline. Bit strange if you ask me!

Got a call about our internet, supposedly from BT - but it didn’t sound right. The woman on the line had an Asian accent, and my missus told her if she really worked for BT, she’d definitely know who their own customers are.

Took ages to pick up, only to be met with a robotic "Goodbye". Fingers crossed next time it pans out better - I'd love to string them along a little, then unload a proper volley of insults.

Just got a call from 01416289004, some guy with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from HMRC in Glasgow. He kept insisting I give my debit or credit card details so I could get a tax refund of over £900. I told him I was driving, and he said he'd wait on the line till I found a spot to stop. When I asked for proof or any kind of verification, he kept dodging it, saying it'd come after I gave my card info. Got fed up and ended the call, then blocked the number. Watch out, they’re really aggressive and don't take no for an answer.

Got a call from this number, a woman speaking with an Indian accent claiming she was from BT. She said she needed to let me know about a problem with my internet connection since BT supplies the line. That immediately made me suspicious as I’m with Virgin. She asked if I’d had any internet trouble the past couple of days (which I had), and said she could fix it super quickly by logging in remotely using my IP address. I didn’t feel right about it and hung up. When I rang Virgin to check, they confirmed it was a scam.

I answered the phone, there was a bloke who said "Hello" after a pause, then went silent. So I just hung up.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, claiming to be from my internet company. He wasn’t even saying a specific provider name, so maybe he’s trying to be more careful after messing up before. When I spoke back a bit bluntly, he hung up pretty quick, which was a shame ’cause I usually enjoy keeping these bots on the line just to drag out their time.

Had a call from some bloke claiming to be from BT tech support, said my internet was hacked or something. I played along, acted really surprised and thanked him. Then I asked what I needed to do to fix it. He must’a caught my sarcasm cause he goes, 'Are you jokin’ me?' a couple of times. So I just told him yeah, I was messin’ about - especially since a woman with a heavy Indian accent rang earlier, pretending to be Virgin Media with pretty much the same scam. Told him those muppets can do one. Now I'm just waiting for 'TalkTalk tech support' to ring next!

This number keeps calling me a lot, but I don’t pick up since I don’t recognise it. I usually let the answerphone take any messages, but so far, I haven’t got anything from them.

Got a call that started off robotic, then a woman with a strong Indian accent came on, said she was from BT Internet and tried to get me to give out computer details. The line was awful and she only spoke for about five seconds before going quiet. I don’t even have BT internet, so it was obvious it was a scam. She was really poor at pretending though, I guess she noticed I wasn’t buying it because she just put the phone down on me. Honestly, feels like one of those risky, dodgy scams you want to watch out for.

Had some issues with my internet so I reached out to Virgin. Afterwards, got a call from someone with an overseas accent claiming his name was Ramile from Manila. He said he’d sort me out with a new router to boost my speeds but I’d have to pay a £5 delivery fee through my Virgin account. Then I received an email from Virgin backing this up and a text from Yodel saying the router should arrive on Tuesday. Bit confusing if you ask me!

Got a call from a lady claiming she was from BT's tech support about issues with my internet. Then the call just ended. Problem is, I'm with Virgin Media, so I have no clue why BT would be handling their faults. Next thing you know, Tesco might start passing their complaints to Sainsbury’s! Pretty clear this was a scam.

Got a call from some woman saying she was calling from BT, asking about how my internet was working. I told her it was alright, not slow at all. Then she asked again if it was slow, I said no and quickly ended it. As if that was really BT! What a joke.

Got a call from someone calling himself Martin Jones, which felt a bit off straight away, especially since he sounded like he was Indian. There was a weird pause after I picked up, so I knew it was one of those robo calls. He said he was from my internet company, but I wasn’t buying it. I just replied with two words - think s#x and travel - and that was that!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT’s technical support, calling himself Shaun Wilson - yeah right, with a thick foreign accent. When I asked where he was calling from, he gave a London address. I then asked what the weather was like there and he said 'cloudy' - totally wrong, it was brilliant sunshine outside! I tried again by asking what shop was opposite his office, and he just snapped back, 'Mind your own business, you f****r!' and then hung up. Pretty sure I won that one. Would definitely steer clear of this number.

On 18th May 2018 at about 2.36pm, I got a call from a woman with a weird foreign accent, said she was from the tech department. The phone line was awful, kept cutting out all the time. Obviously just another scam, so I blocked 06295456252 through Talk Talk. These fraud calls are dodgy and could cause trouble, so watch out. Earlier today I also got a call from 01628439175, might be connected to the same scam.

Some bloke said he was from BT's tech support and started asking about my router and what gadgets I had hooked up. I told him I had the washing machine and tumble dryer connected to it. Then he asked if I had a computer. I replied no, explaining that loads of people ring pretending to be BT just to scam your passwords and bank info. He paused and then said, "So I’m just bothering you then, yeah?" Made me sure right away it was a dodgy call.
