I had a rather unpleasant experience today when I received an unsolicited call from someone. They greeted me using my name, but I felt uncertain whether it was actually a pre-recorded message. When I suggested that they clarify who they were since they had reached out to me, they abruptly retorted that I was being impolite and then promptly ended the call. They didn’t even allow me the opportunity to respond! Quite off-putting, to say the least.
