Just a few days back, I received a call from 005603669724, and there was this woman on the other end, apparently from India. What a bother! She just went on and on, and honestly, I couldn't make head nor tail of what she was saying! Eventually, she started probing for my bank details, to which I firmly declined and promptly hung up. I've actually had calls from that same number on several occasions last year and even this year! Whatever you do, don't share your bank info! You might find yourself with a shocking surprise when you check your credit card or bank statement! That's what I've heard from others too!

Got a call from an unknown number today showing 0056. Didn't pick up since I didn't recognise the international code. After checking, turns out it's North Korea. Probably just some random prank from the Kim Jung Un side, guessing he's got time on his hands!

The calls I've been receiving are supposedly from a legitimate UK company called Opton Telecom. However, this particular number reeks of a foreign call centre operation. While the company itself is above board, I was rather upset to receive a cold call given my registration with the Telephone Preference Service. After reaching out to their customer support and warning them about potentially alerting TPS, I insisted they scrub my information from their records. Thankfully, they responded with an email confirming my removal, along with profuse apologies. They reassured me that they do monitor the TPS register, although it seems their efforts could use a bit of improvement!

I picked up the phone and some bloke with an Asian accent from “someone or other” telecom started talking. He asked if he was speaking to me by name, then launched into a confusing spiel about broadband and calls that made no sense to me. I told him straight up I didn’t really get what he was on about and just ended the call.

Not sure who called me, but I reckoned it was from abroad without a doubt. I just left the phone hanging and waited ages - around 5 minutes - until I finally heard that irritating 'off the hook' beep. Then I just put it down. Wouldn't mind if they ended up paying for the call themselves!

I mentioned I was recording the chat, figured he might hang up but nope, he kept pushing hard and was pretty rude about it. My husband caught wind of it and was not having any of it - told him straight where to shove it.

I received a phone call purportedly from Opton Telecom, located at 255-261 Horn Lane, Acton, London, W39EH. The caller was attempting to persuade me to switch my landline service to their company. When I voiced my reluctance to share my bank details with someone cold-calling from India, I was subjected to a lengthy discourse on banking safety. The individual insisted they were not based in India, but when I inquired about the weather in Acton, there was a noticeable delay-clearly time taken to look it up-before they informed me it was a balmy 22 degrees. I specifically asked for a weather report, not merely the temperature. Upon checking later, I confirmed that 22 degrees was indeed the cited temperature, rather unseasonably warm for this period, if you ask me.
