I've been getting these annoying fax calls like clockwork, from a number that's not even on the TPS list, for well over a year now. It happens several times every week and it's driving me mental. Had a look at other comments and it seems this number is linked to Sentinel Debt Recovery. They’re a limited company, and for a small fee you can get info on the directors through Companies House. Bet they’re not too chuffed about getting calls at 2, 3, 4, 5, or even 6 in the morning!

I keep getting calls like these and when I answer, all I hear is a beep before the line goes dead and then it blocks the phone for quite a while. These rude people have been doing this to me for years, day or night, and they don't seem to care no matter what you say. Maybe it’s about time someone took legal action against them!!

I've had the exact same issue with calls from 0800 055 6228, which is apparently Sentinel debt recovery. They told me to ring that number to have my phone removed from their calls - sounds good in theory, but I'm not holding my breath. We'll just have to see if it really works or not!

Had the exact same issue. Turned out it was Sentinel Debt Recovery ringing me, so I looked them up and came across their Facebook page. I left a complaint there, and the very next day they sent me this with an apology:

I found out that Sentinal Debt Recovery had my number listed somewhere, which caused me to get those annoying robotic calls in the middle of the night! It was so bad I ended up unplugging the phone just to get some peace. If you wanna stop them too, you can visit the Sentinal Debt Recovery site and ask them to take your number off their list. Fingers crossed it actually sorts it out for me.

Got a call round 10pm on Sunday the 18th of August, and it just blocked my phone line entirely. This isn’t the first time these companies have been pestering both mobile and landline users without any care. Tried reporting it to the network providers but they just seem to brush it off like it’s nothing. And as for Ofcom, they’ve been absolutely useless for years now, barely doing anything. Reminds me of politicians who ramble on but never really take action - though I might be confusing my names here! Honestly, those who hand out these numbers should definitely lose their licences, but I suppose that’s just wishful thinking for normal folks like us.

Just like everyone else said, no one picked up and all I got was this weird screeching noise like a fax machine. They called me four times in a row!

If this number was connected to our services, we would have acted straight away to sort things out, as we don’t support that sort of behaviour at all.
