On the 4th of August 2018 around 1 in the afternoon, I got a call from 05054749236. It was one of those automated messages claiming to be from the HRH tax department, warning me I supposedly owed loads of unpaid tax. They told me to ring back that same number to sort it out. Honestly, it felt like pure harassment and a bit dodgy. I had no doubt it was a scam, but it made me worry about how many folks might actually ring back and end up with a huge bill or hand over personal info to avoid paying something that’s not real at all.

Got a call from some robot claiming to be HMRC threatening legal steps. Total rubbish, don’t fall for it.
