Got a call from someone claiming to be the National Crime Agency. They told us to get on our laptop and check our IP addy against one they said was linked to criminal activity, and then they asked us to read out our IP number to them. It all felt really dodgy. They gave an 0370 number to ring back on, but the real Crime Agency’s number isn’t anything like that. Could well be another scam, maybe connected to the malware nonsense that was going around last week.
