I got a text claiming to be from my bank, TSB, saying something like "You're almost set for Apple Pay with your card ending in ####. Just use code 433316 when asked. If you didn’t request it, ring 0345 975 8005." Thing is, I’ve never even used Apple Pay! It made me a bit uneasy at first. I always make sure to contact my bank using the official number I have saved, and since this number was unfamiliar, I knew something was off. So, I popped the number into Who-called.co.uk to see what’s up and, surprise surprise, it was just another scam. Glad I checked before doing anything!

So, when I was trying to verify something with Google Wallet, it showed me this number. I rang it, shared some details without thinking much, and ended the call. Right after, I googled the number and got really worried! I jumped online straight away and cancelled my card just in case. Then I rang the TSB number on the card and got through to someone who was quite helpful. They assured me it was a legit number and said I’d cancelled the card unnecessarily! Haha, guess it’s always best to be cautious though, and definitely do your own digging - a scammer would claim the same thing!

Scam alert! They pretend to be from TSB but it's all fake. If you call them out, they get really rude and start shouting. Best to just end the call straight away and pop into your bank to check. Don’t trust them for a second!

Beware, this is a total scam. A bloke named Nigel phoned me five times saying my debit card was used on Booking.com. I rang up TSB and they confirmed it's a dodgy call. This guy sounds really convincing though, even sent me a text from 03459758005. He kept calling from an unknown number on our home phone as well. Stay alert!

I got a message about an Apple Pay "final confirmation" and it had this number listed as the contact if you didn’t make the request. It said to call TSB banking with any issues. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Someone rang me from a private number pretending to be TSB, saying there’d been a transaction of £950 to Revolut in London and they needed a 6-digit code. After seeing SCAM ALERTS recently, I got suspicious straight away. They told me to call my bank’s fraud number on the back of my card, which seemed the right thing to do. I said I hadn’t got any notifications from Google Pay. I hung up and checked my account afterwards, feeling relieved I didn’t share any codes. If this happens to anyone else, just hang up immediately!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Jacob Matthews at TSB’s fraud team. He told me Paddy Power had tried to nick £500 from my account without my okay and even said they sent me a text about it. While chatting, he asked me to read out a 6-digit code from the message, which I did. After the call dropped, I contacted my bank’s fraud department straight away. Turns out, it was a total scam and I had to get my card cancelled to be safe.

I got a text claiming to be from TSB about Apple Pay, but the details were all wrong. The card and phone numbers didn’t match up at all. Seems like a scam to me. Don’t put in any codes they send you, just ignore it and stay safe.

Someone managed to hack my debit card and added it to Google Pay without my permission. Today, I got a letter that looks like it's from my bank, saying I've been registered with Google Pay and included a phone number: 0345 975 8005. If this is a scam, it's really sneaky and could fool a lot of people.
