9 yearsI’m employed in the finance team of our modest business, and we received a rather dubious call from some blokes claiming we bear an “outstanding debt.” Yet, they were utterly vague about what it pertained to, who it was with, and the specific amount. Our books are perfectly in order, yet the caller insisted on talking exclusively to “the director,” who wasn’t around at the time. They claimed to have sent letters, but I’ve seen no trace of any correspondence, despite being the one who handles all the incoming mail. It’s all quite maddening, to be honest, and I’ve got a strong suspicion this is nothing short of a scam. It baffles me that a company attempting to recoup an “unpaid debt” wouldn’t want to engage directly with the accounts department. They kept droning on about “data protection,” which is just infuriating. They identified themselves as “Fredrickson International.”Fredrickson International9 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call today on my landline, intended for my daughter who hasn’t resided here for the past eight years. To top it off, they referred to her by her maiden name. This has me questioning whether the call was on the level at all.10 yearsFredrickson International - rather suspicious if you ask me! They're apparently some debt collectors acting on behalf of the Inland Revenue. Their website, FREDS.COM, gives off a rather dodgy vibe, although a WHOIS check indicates it’s the real deal. I noticed they’ve got a whole bunch of those 0345-839-6xxx numbers plastered on their Contact Us section. The initial call I received was from a rather intense chap; he sounded quite frantic and I instinctively thought it was a scam. I mean, he kept insisting that I "must pay today," which rang alarm bells in my head as a typical fraud tactic! However, the second call was a more pleasant experience - a lady rang and even left her number for me to get back to her. Quite a mixed bag, really!Fredrickson InternationalInland RevenueFREDS.
