I received a rather dodgy call purportedly from Halifax Fraud. They claimed my card had been used for a £200 transaction at AO, which I denied. They then told me that authentication wasn't set up on my account, and they could activate it by processing a £0 transaction and requested the authentication number once it came through. I expressed my concerns about this and decided it was best to end the call and ring the fraud department directly from my landline. Quite suspiciously, they hung up straight away!
