I got a call from someone claiming they’d stopped an Argos payment of £850 on my Lloyds card, saying there were a bunch of Argos purchases in Birmingham, which is miles away from me. They then asked for my birthday. I told them I didn’t think they were really from Lloyds. They said they’d be sending a new card in 3-4 days. They also told me to open my Lloyds banking app, but when I checked, there weren’t any dodgy transactions. I cut the call and blocked the number. Total scam.

0345 800 0000 - WARNING!!! 🏴‍☠️💀 If you get called from this number, BLOCK it straight away. These scammers are hunting for active phone numbers to bundle up and sell to other scammers. They're after your personal info, identity, cash, even assets like your car or home, and will mess with your peace of mind too. I've reported the calls to BT and Ofcom so they can track these fraudsters down. Don’t give them a chance - cut them off and help choke out these parasites.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Lloyds, saying a card payment of £850 to Argos was declined. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds or made any purchase at Argos! When I questioned it, he started going on about identity theft and asked for my full name, DOB, and address. Told him nicely to jog on!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Barclays, saying there was a dodgy payment from my account using the Barclays app on a different phone. He told me they'd freeze my card and send a new one out. Asked if I could log into my Barclays app right then so they could remove the other device from my account. I even got a text, supposedly from Barclays, about a new card being sent and that they'd be in touch soon. I just ended the call.

Totally a scam, watch out! The caller said they were from Lloyds Bank’s security team but the ID showed up as "Summit Electrical & Renewables" according to Google. When I questioned them about it, they just cut the call straight away.

Got a call claiming to be from Lloyds Fraud Dept. They mentioned the last digits of my debit card and my address, saying there were two suspicious transactions in Liverpool. I answered a few simple questions but never shared any passwords or account details. Still feels dodgy to me.
