I received a call from some chancers claiming to represent a fraud prevention unit. Best to steer clear of these blokes. If they ring you, just hang up and block their digits. If you're worried, it might be wise to let your bank know. Stay safe!

It gave off a strong vibe of being a con artist rather than an actual Barclays representative.

I received several calls in a matter of just 15 minutes, all claiming there was some dodgy activity on my Barclays card. The funny thing is, I’ve never even had a Barclays card! They wouldn't stop ringing, and after hanging up on them a few times, I finally had to block the number when they harassed me with another six calls in under two minutes. What a nuisance!

Received a call claiming to be from Barclays, insisting that there were numerous suspicious transactions linked to my account. They knew my name and address and claimed that an attempt was being made to alter my details through their app. I promptly hung up and did a bit of digging on the number. It appears to be a scam, no doubt about it.

It's rather unsettling just how persuasive the caller turned out to be. They had managed to place unauthorised charges on my account and pretended to represent the fraud team from Barclays. They even proposed cancelling my card and instructed me to access the Barclays app and utilise a pinsentry. Fortunately, my instincts kicked in, and I refrained from sharing any information.

Utterly untrustworthy bunch, complete wasters of time—best to cut them off.

I received a call from someone who was posing as a representative of the Barclays Fraud Department. They went on about some dodgy transaction linked to my credit card. Honestly, mate, I don’t even have an account with Barclays!

I received a call from someone claiming to be Charlotte Haines from Barclays. She insisted that she had uncovered several suspicious transactions and urged me to access my mobile application immediately. I decided to end the conversation instead, stating I would hang up, confirm the caller’s number, and look into my account for any irregularities. She promptly ended the call.

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from the fraud division of Santander. He informed me that my card was allegedly involved in some dodgy dealings and offered to halt a £350 transaction that was supposedly processing. I decided it was best to cease the conversation and insisted on verifying the matter with my bank firsthand.

I had an encounter with a chap who claimed to be representing Santander's fraud department. He informed me that my card was allegedly linked to some dodgy dealings and offered to halt a transaction of £350 that was supposedly about to go through. I firmly told him that I would rather not engage further, as I intended to contact my bank directly for clarification.

We just received a call from this number, claiming to be from Barclays' fraud department. They attempted to fish for our banking information and already knew our name along with the final digits of our card. They’re now sending us messages demanding more information and urging us to click on some dodgy links. Whatever you do, don't engage with them!

I received a dubious call claiming to be from Barclays' fraud department. It was a woman's voice, distinctly British, though I suppose accents can be quite misleading lately. It’s wise to steer clear of such calls. They often pause excessively and know your full name, which feels quite unsettling. Just tell them you're someone else entirely and deny having any credit card at all!

I'm the same individual who posted the earlier remark. I've just had a conversation with the genuine Lloyds team, and it turns out there are no signs of fraud linked to my account. Consequently, this number is unquestionably a scam. Take heed – the caller came across as rather professional and affable. Don't let yourself be deceived. Best to block this number right away!
