Phone number ☎️ 03457345354 👆 is reported as a high-risk scam number frequently impersonating various UK banks' fraud departments, including Barclays, Halifax, HSBC, Santander, NatWest, and Lloyds. Callers often use personal information to appear credible and pressure victims into sharing security codes or granting access to online banking. They may claim suspicious transactions or fraud attempts, prompting you to confirm details or enter verification codes, which leads to financial loss. Several callers employ aggressive or threatening behaviour. Genuine banks do not request sensitive information by phone and advise contacting them directly via the number on your bank card. Users strongly recommend ending these calls immediately, reporting them to your bank and Action Fraud, and never sharing personal or banking data. Got a call from someone claiming to be NatWest’s Fraud Team. They rattled off a bunch of Direct Debits they said were created today. I was pretty sure it was a con since NatWest usually sends texts asking for a simple Y or N on transactions, never calls like this. It was hilarious when the bloke ended the call right after I told him I thought he was a scammer too. Classic!

Got a call from someone claiming to be James at Santander about two suspicious charges, one for £109.99 and another for £0.00. He mentioned my name and the last four digits of my credit card, so I thought it was legit. Then he told me to reply to a text he sent to confirm the fraud. The text was from what seemed like a usual Santander number, telling me to text "653447" to set up Apple Pay on my phone, and to call 0800 028 8103 if that wasn’t right. But after checking, I’m pretty sure that 0800 number isn’t actually Santander.

Got a text pretending to be from Revolut about some dodgy charge on Uber Eats. They wanted me to send back a code so they could apparently give me a refund. Then they asked for the code to be connected with Google Pay or something. Seemed fishy right from the start, probably some kind of social engineering trick.

Caution!
I’ve encountered a blatant scam operation here. They pretended to represent Virgin Money's fraud team, even going so far as to send a Google verification code via a text that appeared to be from them - quite a convincing ruse, I must say.
Unfortunately, by the time I realised what was happening, four unauthorised transactions had already gone through before I could get my card stopped.
I've had to involve the police and the fraud department now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Halifax bank, knew loads about my son's info and wanted to talk to him. They said they’d send a PIN to his phone and wanted him to read it back. I just ended the call and blocked the number, my son did the same. Then I rang Halifax directly to check as the number sounded familiar and had been on my son’s phone for ages. Definitely a scam, don’t get caught out!

Got a dodgy call today from someone pretending to be Barclays fraud dept. The woman had a strong accent, sounded like she was from South London, maybe mixed race, and definitely not legit. Rang me at about 2:49pm trying to say there was an issue with my account. I knew straight away it was a con because the number she called me on isn’t even connected to my bank details. Told her where to go, hung up, and blocked her number quick.

Seriously, do not pick up if this number rings you - it's a proper bank scam. They sound so convincing, but believe me, I got tricked. I struggle with autism and ADHD, so it was tough to keep my guard up. They managed to get into my online banking and even when Barclays sent me a new card, they somehow accessed that too through my account. I felt totally violated. Honestly, just ignore the call and don’t share any information with them.

Got a call about supposed bank fraud. The bloke already had my name, address, phone, and card details - seemed a bit too much to be a coincidence. Sounded like he’d done this kinda job before, cause he used all the same jargon and asked stuff just like the real fraud team at my bank did when I rang them up later. Definitely a scam trying to sound legit.

I had a rather dodgy experience where someone attempted to con me into accessing my banking app. They claimed my credit card had been compromised. When I mentioned that I was literally outside my bank, which I genuinely was, the chap, who spoke in a rather refined manner, abruptly hung up. His accent was distinctly neutral, lacking any hint of being from abroad. I promptly went into the bank, and they directed me to their fraud department. Thankfully, all was well with my account, confirming it was nothing more than a scam call!

I recently encountered a rather alarming situation involving this phone number that claimed to represent HSBC Bank. Strangely enough, they possessed the last four digits of my bank card, which I've never used for in-store purchases-as it simply resides in my wallet thanks to my Apple Watch for payments. To make matters worse, they were also aware of my mobile number and that HSBC is my bank of choice. We didn’t divulge any personal details and swiftly ended the call before reaching out to the bank, only to discover that a whopping seven fraudulent transactions had already been executed! It’s quite unsettling, to say the least!

The police really need to log every single one of these scam calls trying to rip us off. At the moment, they don’t really know how many of these fraud attempts happen here in the UK daily. That’s why they made a straightforward reporting system that anyone can use. You’ll find the info on how to use it right here on this page.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Barclays trying to pull a scam. Said they were checking security or something like that. Surprisingly, they knew details of my old debit card, even though it’s long been cancelled. Got a call I didn’t answer, so I rang back and was met with a recorded message saying I’d “reached a wrong number.” Sounds like a typical scam or some dodgy fraud to me!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HSBC, saying there was a dodgy transaction in Oxford. The call dragged on, but it soon felt fishy. They tried to trick me into giving away my security code, but I didn't fall for it, so the bloke just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

So this bloke claimed to be calling from Barclay’s fraud team, right? But as he was reading his script, he messed up a little. Definitely felt like a scam to me, but I got a bit worried since he seemed to know my address.

I’d rather not say what he said to me over the phone because it was really offensive. He somehow got hold of our address and was asking me for some inappropriate stuff. Honestly, it’s made me feel really uneasy about staying at home.

Some bloke rang pretending to be from Barclays, lots of chat about my card being hacked and needing a replacement. Then he went on about how my account number’s changed and that I had to move all my cash to that new one. Luckily, I spotted it was dodgy and stopped before anything went wrong.
