5 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from Halifax fraud team, told me about two dubious charges - one from JD and another from Argos. They had loads of my info like full name, my phone number and the last 4 digits of my card, but when I asked for details of my last three transactions, they couldn’t provide them, so I just ended the call. Later on, I rang the real Halifax fraud department and found out for sure it was a scam. They even seemed to know about that fake £600 Argos charge when I brought it up. The number they used was almost the same as the actual fraud line, just different by one digit (their number ended in 40, real one ends in 50).
