I’d say just ignore if you get a call like this. Some con artist trying to pass off as Santander called me. They left a robotic message about a £650 purchase at Argos and asked me to ring back. Totally fake. Make sure you block and report them, don’t get tricked.

Beware, this scammer is really risky. They call pretending to be your bank, saying there's weird stuff happening with your account. Just end the call straight away and let your bank know what's going on.

Got a call from 03457123123 claiming my direct debit was set up, but they had all my personal details including my address. They even laughed about taking all my money! I’ve reported it straight to the police.

They claimed to be calling from Barclays, but the call quality was rubbish, sounded like they were speaking from some tiny cupboard or something. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the bank, more like scammers. Ended up just hanging up.
