This number rings me pretty often, always asking for details but using different covers like BT, British Gas, or even OFGEM claiming they need to install a digital meter. Every time I say I’m not sharing any info, they just keep calling back over and over.

Got a call from someone pretending to be with Eon or Aon, telling me my contract was ending the next day. When I asked them to verify the supply address, they just started going on about how Eon/Aon were well-known UK companies and some of the largest suppliers - totally ignoring my question. I insisted again for the address but instead they said they'd look it up, then just suddenly ended the call. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

This number keeps ringing me up, saying my gas and electric contract needs renewing. They name a different supplier each time and say I have to renew with them. Most of the time they've guessed the right company, but only once. Even then, their version of my renewal date was way out. The calls come from a loud call centre and it definitely doesn't sound like it's based in the UK.

someone rang me up asking for the owner of the business, going on about some fake contract coming to an end. after i ended the call, they had the nerve to phone back again, so i just told them to get lost.

Got a call from someone saying they were with E-on, asking for my work details to send some letter to an address I guess they already knew. Then they insisted on putting me through to someone else to get the info - felt really fishy to me. After I told them to just email me instead, they rang me back like 8 times one after the other. Definitely seemed like a dodgy scam.

Someone called saying my contract with Eon was about to end, but I’m actually with British Gas and have never had anything to do with Eon.
