AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This number rang me four times in just a matter of minutes. The caller pretended to represent my bank, claiming there was a potential fraud issue with my account. He even had the last four digits of my card, clearly attempting to fish for details about recent transactions to unlawfully access my accounts through telephone banking. When I said I would hang up and return the call myself, he seemed calm, but as soon as I mentioned I’d be calling from a different phone, his attitude shifted to aggression. I’ve heard about someone else who fell for a similar trick, believing they were dialling their bank directly, only to be rerouted back to the scammers!
