This is really odd, coz I saw what others said about the NHS and I'm actually waiting on a hospital appointment myself. But my first thought was ‘scam’ since the text said ‘hey mum, my phone’s broke, here’s my new number.’ I’ve no kids at all, so I just deleted it and blocked the number straight away. And then, the weirdest thing - the number somehow unblocked itself and now I can’t block it again. It even sent the exact same strange message again. Has anyone else had this happen or know what’s behind this?

Getting messages nonstop from this number saying I have an appointment at the local hospital and that they’ll ring me soon. I haven’t visited any doctor in ages, so why would I be sent to a Consultant? Might look like an NHS number but it’s definitely a SCAM! They can call using other people’s numbers, so be careful! 😡😡

He then asked if I wanted him to forward this to the local hospital. I said yes but was curious if this was a local office or a national central booking line. I was surprised to find out it covered the whole of the UK. Wish I knew the exact address the letter was sent from.

Derriford Hospital has reassured me that this is not a scam. Shortly after being given an appointment, I received a letter canceling it, which raised my suspicions. I then decided to call my own hospital to verify the situation. To my relief, I found out that my appointment had not been cancelled at all. It turns out that the letter should never have been sent in the first place. The entire system is unreliable and causes unnecessary worry and anger. This entire incident leaves me doubting the competence of the hospital. It's advisable to contact your own hospital directly to avoid similar situations.

I recently got a letter requesting me to call a specific number in order to schedule an appointment. However, when I contacted them, I was informed that no appointments were available. Strangely enough, the person I spoke to had access to personal and confidential information about me. They even asked for more details. To clarify my doubts, I casually asked if the call center was based in the UK. Surprisingly, the man seemed suspicious and questioned why I asked that. At this point, alarm bells started ringing in my head, so I decided to end the call. Worried about the situation, I reached out to the administrator at my local GP surgery who was equally confused as to why I couldn't secure an appointment. Despite this, my hospital has no record of any appointment made for me.
They deny recognition of this particular number!
Moreover, I find it peculiar that the letter I received is from Milton Keynes when I reside in East Sussex.
Thankfully, I exercised caution and refrained from making any calls until verifying its authenticity.

I received a letter from the App Line Head Office of NHS, located in Sunrise Parkway, Linwood West East, Milton Keynes. It was written in a foreign language, which I believe to be Punjabi.
