03456088888 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03456088888 👆 is reported as a genuine NHS e-Referral Service number used for booking and rearranging hospital appointments across the UK. However, many users express confusion and concern due to unprofessional correspondence, ambiguous letters often without clear NHS identifiers or local hospital details, and calls about appointments they never made. Some letters have incorrect or foreign-language content, causing suspicion and fears of scams. While the number is legitimate and connected to official NHS systems, the referral and appointment communication process seems prone to errors, poor management, and misdirected messages, leading to anxiety especially among vulnerable recipients. It is strongly advised to verify any appointment claims by directly contacting your GP surgery or local hospital before responding or sharing personal information.

This is really odd, coz I saw what others said about the NHS and I'm actually waiting on a hospital appointment myself. But my first thought was ‘scam’ since the text said ‘hey mum, my phone’s broke, here’s my new number.’ I’ve no kids at all, so I just deleted it and blocked the number straight away. And then, the weirdest thing - the number somehow unblocked itself and now I can’t block it again. It even sent the exact same strange message again. Has anyone else had this happen or know what’s behind this?

Getting messages nonstop from this number saying I have an appointment at the local hospital and that they’ll ring me soon. I haven’t visited any doctor in ages, so why would I be sent to a Consultant? Might look like an NHS number but it’s definitely a SCAM! They can call using other people’s numbers, so be careful! 😡😡

Please be advised that if you're a patient and have any questions about your referral or hospital appointment, it's best to reach out directly to your GP, your local GP surgery, or the hospital for help.

This letter comes across as highly unprofessional. Upon conducting a quick search of the provided number, it appears to be associated with a potentially fraudulent activity. This is extremely concerning, especially for individuals who may be easily targeted and taken advantage of.

I received a letter indicating that my recent hospital appointment had been called off, and that I needed to contact them to schedule a new one. However, when I reached out to the hospital, they seemed completely unaware of this so-called service, which is supposedly situated in Ashby de la Zouch, LE65 1JT, and goes by the name of ‘The NHS e-Referral Service Team’. Quite puzzling, to say the least!

Rest assured, this is not a fraudulent scheme. The NHS app provides a convenient appointments page for booking appointments with doctors, hospitals, and opticians. In cases where you are unable to make a booking through the app, you can expect a phone call or receive a letter containing the contact number mentioned.

I have recently received a letter from the ‘NHS e-Referral Service’ notifying me that my appointment has been cancelled and providing a booking reference number. The letter instructs me to contact 93456088888 to reschedule the appointment. However, I am certain this is a scam because I have not made any appointments at an NHS hospital.

I have received multiple calls from this number, asking me to keep an appointment that I am not aware of. It is quite puzzling as I reside 250 miles away from Darent Valley Hospital. Hence, it is quite absurd to expect me to visit there. This seems to be nothing more than a scam.

03456088888 sent a letter supposedly from the NHS about setting up an appointment at a nearby hospital. I gave the caller my booking reference and access code. He then asked if I wanted him to forward this to the local hospital. I said yes but was curious if this was a local office or a national central booking line. I was surprised to find out it covered the whole of the UK. Wish I knew the exact address the letter was sent from.

I called the number and had to wait for 6 minutes listening to a recording instructing me to contact NHS online and rebook my appointment. Finally, a man answered the call claiming it was an interpreter line and asked me which language I needed assistance with!!!!

I have received a letter with what appears to be an NHS phone number, but upon closer inspection, it seems to be a scam. It is important that actions are taken to address this issue as it could potentially lead to serious consequences if targeted at older individuals who may fall victim to such scams.

Derriford Hospital has reassured me that this is not a scam. Shortly after being given an appointment, I received a letter canceling it, which raised my suspicions. I then decided to call my own hospital to verify the situation. To my relief, I found out that my appointment had not been cancelled at all. It turns out that the letter should never have been sent in the first place. The entire system is unreliable and causes unnecessary worry and anger. This entire incident leaves me doubting the competence of the hospital. It's advisable to contact your own hospital directly to avoid similar situations.

Rest assured, this is not a fraudulent scheme. Although it may seem unusual at first glance, I have conducted thorough research and everything seems legitimate. I hold a letter containing a reference that requires a password. If you do not possess the password, please contact your doctor's surgery, and they will provide you with a new one. It appears that this is simply a modern approach to managing procedures.

I have received a text message, which states that I have an expected hospital visit, which was quite surprising to me. The message also urges me to call a certain number, or else it will cost me £160. I believe the NHS should take action about this situation, as they have access to our personal information. This matter is of utmost seriousness and should not be taken lightly. On the NHS website, there is a page with the same contact number mentioned in the text message. You can find more information about it here: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/appointment-booking/Pages/about-the-referral-system.aspx

I recently got a letter requesting me to call a specific number in order to schedule an appointment. However, when I contacted them, I was informed that no appointments were available. Strangely enough, the person I spoke to had access to personal and confidential information about me. They even asked for more details. To clarify my doubts, I casually asked if the call center was based in the UK. Surprisingly, the man seemed suspicious and questioned why I asked that. At this point, alarm bells started ringing in my head, so I decided to end the call. Worried about the situation, I reached out to the administrator at my local GP surgery who was equally confused as to why I couldn't secure an appointment. Now, I'm concerned that someone may have obtained my medical information illicitly.

Be aware! This is a fraudulent activity that must not be overlooked!
My personal details, along with my NHS number, are in the possession of these scammers.
Despite this, my hospital has no record of any appointment made for me.
They deny recognition of this particular number!
Moreover, I find it peculiar that the letter I received is from Milton Keynes when I reside in East Sussex.
Thankfully, I exercised caution and refrained from making any calls until verifying its authenticity.

Please take heed of this advice:
Under no circumstances should you contact them.
Instead, contact your hospital directly and verify everything with them!

I received a letter from the App Line Head Office of NHS, located in Sunrise Parkway, Linwood West East, Milton Keynes. It was written in a foreign language, which I believe to be Punjabi. Addressing a letter in Punjabi seems highly unusual in this country, leading me to suspect that this may be a scam.
