Phone number ☎️ 03456081878 👆 is reported as a phone number used by HSBC’s genuine fraud prevention team to contact customers about suspicious or declined transactions. Many users confirm it assists with blocking fraudulent charges and issuing new cards, with calls involving security questions and recent transactions verification. So, I joined this Better Me Yoga subscription, right? Not long after, maybe a couple minutes, my phone rings. The person on the line starts asking for details about my HSBC account. I immediately knew it was a scam and just told them off before hanging up.

I received a message about a suspicious charge on my card, so I found the HSBC fraud team number straight from the HSBC banking app. Gave them a ring and they quickly stopped that transaction and arranged for a replacement card. When you ring them at first, they’ll ask you to verify your identity with your mobile banking PIN, which seems to be standard procedure.

Had a call claiming to be from HSBC fraud squad. Just to be sure, I ended the call and dialled the number found on my card. They did confirm they’d called me. Honestly, it’s better to just hang up and check yourself to avoid any dodgy scams.

I got a call from someone claiming to be HSBC’s fraud team because there was an issue with my card payments. They asked me loads of security questions and even told me details about my recent six purchases, which seemed legit. Quite relieved it's really HSBC after all.

I got a call just as I was about to buy something pricey. They didn’t say what it was about and jumped straight in asking for my personal info. If this was genuine, it’s seriously daft. These banks always go on about fighting fraud, yet they ring you up without any heads-up and expect you to just trust them.

Got a call from this number the day after a suspicious charge tried on my card, and it turned out to be HSBC’s legit fraud team. I was a bit wary about picking up at first and looked the number up here before getting back. During the call, they asked me some security questions but never requested my full card info or PIN. We went over all my recent transactions to spot anything odd. After that, they cancelled my current card and sorted out a replacement which has already appeared in my online account.

This is the real HSBC Fraud Dept number, no fake. I've dialled this a few times when I noticed weird charges on my card from online purchases. The bank usually freezes the transactions and gives you a ring to check if they're legit or not. Proper helpful service!

We were trying to add our M&S card to Google Wallet and got a call from this number, which showed up as possible spam. They left a voicemail saying to urgently call M&S on 0345 602 1568. Instead of ringing them back on that number, we used the number on the back of the card. Turns out both numbers belong to M&S’s fraud team. The call was genuine, just a routine security check to prevent any fraud.

I got a voicemail from someone saying it was HSBC and to call them back. I didn’t call that number, instead I rang the number on the back of my card. They told me it wasn’t HSBC and that it was probably a scam. Made me quite nervous since I’ve dealt with fraud before.

Got a call from what I reckon was HSBC’s fraud department. Argos kept blocking my credit card OTPs - absolute muppets.

Yesterday, my husband got a call about a possible fraud alert on his HSBC credit card. They even left a voicemail telling him to get in touch with them right away. He wasn't having any of it and rang the bank himself to let them know someone tried to scam him.

Sounds like a classic phishing attempt. Even if the number in the message looks like a legit HSBC contact, don’t click any links. The safest bet is to ring up the official customer service number you’ll find on the back of your HSBC card. That way you can make sure that the text you got isn’t some dodgy fake trying to fool you.

It was definitely the fraud team from HSBC. I made sure to ring the number on the back of my card instead of the one they sent me in a text message.

This isn’t some kind of scam or anything dodgy. The call came from HSBC’s Fraud Prevention team about some unusual stuff spotted on my account. I looked the number up on HSBC’s official site, and it turns out it’s a genuine contact, definitely safe to answer.

I got a text from 034572669337 saying I should ring HSBC fraud dept at 03456081878, but it's a total scam. Don’t pick up that call! If you’re ever in doubt, just phone the number on the back of your bank card and ask them directly - they’ll tell you if there’s a real problem.

Got a call from what seemed like HSBC, so I just ended it and rang them back using the number on the back of my card. The HSBC rep I got through to had access to the previous call notes and knew I’d cut off the earlier chat for safety reasons. Turns out, they were just checking up on some transactions because there was a question about a payment made through their app.

I dialled a number listed on the back of my card and ended up speaking to someone from HSBC’s fraud department. I figured if I’d called the main fraud line directly, I'd have to answer a bunch of security questions over the phone, which I’m not too comfortable with. Calling the number on my card meant inputting those details online, which felt safer to me. Personally, I’d always choose the number printed on my bank card, even if it meant it was still technically an HSBC line.

I got a dodgy call and didn’t give them any details. Later, I rang up HSBC to check, and they told me the fraud team had indeed called about some unusual card charges being blocked a couple of days back. They cancelled my card straight away and sent me a replacement.

I spoke to my bank about this and yeah, it’s totally a scam. Just a heads up, scammers sometimes post nice-sounding comments here to seem legit. Really don’t trust it! Be careful out there.

Yeah, I’m sure it was HSBC, but it felt a bit odd getting a call like that so late on a Sunday night. My card got declined when I was shopping online, and the person on the phone was just confirming if it was really me who tried to buy something. They didn’t ask for my sort code or any bank info, just went through some recent payments.

ALL THE SCAM CALLS I'VE GOTTEN HAVE HAD INDIAN ACCENTS. WHEN I RINGED BACK, SOME LADY WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT PICKED UP AND SAID THE CALL WAS FROM SOMEONE NAMED KRISHNA. IT STILL SEEMS OFF TO ME, REALLY WORRIES ME WHEN IT'S ABOUT OUR SAVINGS. I DON’T TRUST THAT IT WAS REALLY THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT. I GOT A CALL FROM THE FRAUD TEAM AGES AGO AND THE NUMBER DIDN'T SHOW UP LIKE THIS, IT SAID UNKNOWN NUMBER. THERE'S LOADS OF VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE SHOWING HOW THEY MIGHT BE WORKING TOGETHER, EVEN WHEN YOU CALL BACK. I’M DEFINITELY GOING TO CANCEL MY CARD AND GET A NEW ONE.

Just like quite a few others have said, I was a bit wary when this number rang me at first, so I ended the call and got in touch with HSBC’s fraud team. They told me it was a legit call about a recent purchase I made overseas, which had caused my card to be frozen since it was unusual activity on my account. So yeah, I’m glad to say this number is definitely real and not some scam. :)

Got a call supposedly from HSBC fraud team, but I chose to ring up the number on the back of my card instead. I ended up speaking to a woman with an Indian accent who was really helpful. I told her it'd be less confusing if the digits in the text matched the card’s number. She said the card number was for general enquiries, whereas the text number goes straight to the fraud team. I’d say definitely take those texts seriously, but make your call using the number on the back of the card.

It's definitely the HSBC Fraud dept calling from this number. I got a text too with a phone number to ring, so I checked on the HSBC app and it matched. Today, I got a rather unexpected call from HSBC Business concerning a hefty payment I'd made to a new beneficiary.
