I rang 0345 608 1604 since I found it on Virgin Money's site, wanted to ask about an ISA. Had to wait ages on hold but the bloke at the end was quite helpful. He had to sift through a long list to see if Virgin works with Plum. Turns out they do, but transfers are only done by post.

So I didn’t get a call, but when I rang this number to sort a Virgin Money password reset, it showed up on their online banking site. Pretty legit looking!

I called this number myself, it was given to me by the Virgin Bank branch nearby. These scammers are getting cleverer these days. While I still stay careful when I get calls like this, making the call first makes me feel a bit safer. Just remember, never give out your PIN or too many personal details!

I’m pretty sure it’s Virgin Money. The number showed up on my online account page. I usually check these phone numbers on this site first and got a bit worried about this one, but then I saw that exact number listed in my Virgin Money secure account. So, I’m fairly certain it’s legit and not some sort of scam.

Dont trust these guys, theyre total scammers pretending to be from Virgin Money. They say your account got hacked and try to get you to move your cash to a “new account” but its all fake. I ended up losing a bunch of money because of this. If you get a call like that, just hang up and go straight to your bank to speak with a manager. They trick you by using what looks like a real bank number but its all a scam. Stay sharp and dont get caught out like I did.

Don't be fooled by their stories, they’re not some innocent money scheme, they’re just crooks trying to drain your bank account. They’ll say your account’s been compromised and tell you to open a new one to transfer your funds. Just ignore them, hang up straight away. Then go down to your bank and speak to the manager in person. Never trust calls with numbers that look official - they can fake those easily. I ended up losing a lot of money because of this, so be careful!

I received a phone call claiming to be from my bank's fraud department, and they were attempting to extract personal details from me!

So, I just got my Virgin bill and noticed it went up from the usual £60 to £78.20. Most of the extra cost was because of a 148-minute call to 03456081604, but I honestly don't recall making that call. Has anyone got any clue what this might be about?

I was trying to log into my Virgin Money account but got blocked. Then, a message popped up telling me to call a certain number which seemed like it belonged to Virgin Money. I haven’t rung it yet though.

I didn’t pick up, so no idea who it was, but since I’d recently visited a debt help website, I’m thinking it might have been linked to that. Possibly something like DFH or Zero Debts?
