Today at 10:38, I got a call from a young woman with an Asian-sounding accent. She said she was ringing from my fund manager’s office, wanting to arrange a chat with him about my savings and investments (she gave a manager’s name I’d never heard of). I found it a bit dodgy since she said she was his assistant, so I told her everything was fine and hung up. I’ve dealt with the actual manager directly before, so this call seemed fishy to me.

I don’t have any accounts with HSBC and never have. How on earth did they get my phone number? This has got to be a scam. The scammers have somehow managed to spoof HSBC’s real number. Please mark this number as risky, even if it looks like HSBC. My number was sold without permission on the Darkweb by a well known storage company I trusted. I simply cannot be bothered with this rubbish.
