Phone number ☎️ 03456031832 👆 is reported as a phone number often linked to HSBC fraud prevention, but experiences vary widely. The number’s legitimacy appears inconsistent, sometimes genuine, sometimes used fraudulently, so cautious handling and confirming identity are common themes among users’ accounts. Dont be fooled, this aint HSBC at all, its a total SCAM. The so called genuine comments are just scammers pretending to be legit - if you take a proper look, all those positive reviews look way too alike to be real.

Just got a call from someone saying they were from HSBC fraud after my card was declined. It felt dodgy so I ended up hanging up. Later, a text popped up asking me to call the same number back. I decided to ring the number on the back of my card instead, and HSBC confirmed it was them - they had blocked my card thinking it might have been used fraudulently. Honestly, it’s best to always call the number on your card just to be safe.

I received a text claiming to be from Evri, saying I needed to pay 23p to have a parcel redirected. Since I was expecting a delivery from them, I nearly fell for it. Then, another message popped up, supposedly from HSBC Fraud Team, telling me to ring 03456031832. That number is definitely NOT HSBC's fraud department. I immediately cancelled my card. Beware, it's a proper scam!

I got a call claiming to be from HSBC saying there was some kind of fraud alert and they needed my credit card info to check. That instantly set off warning bells for me. I’d recently had a card payment blocked when trying to buy something from the US, so I figured maybe it was connected, but the site I used had quite good reviews on Trustpilot, so I thought it might just be a coincidence. Anyway, this website helped me confirm my doubts. Cheers to ‘who called me?’!

Like others have said, this is definitely a scam so don’t bother picking up or ringing back. Best to just block the number and only trust calls you’re actually waiting for. If you need to check anything, go straight to the official HSBC site to be safe. And seriously, if you’re not expecting a HSBC call, just leave it and don’t answer at all.

Got a text claiming to be from HSBC and telling me to ring a number. I didn’t call that number straight away, instead I phoned HSBC’s official banking line. They connected me to their fraud department who confirmed it was a scam related to my debit card. They’ve now blocked my card and are sending out a new one. If you’re unsure about a message like this, just contact HSBC through their genuine customer service number.

Got a call from someone pretending to be a police officer at Holborn station, saying I had been detained for using my credit cards fraudulently. They gave a name and badge number, sounded quite convincing. But I thought, surely if the police catch someone using fake cards, they wouldnt actually have access to the owners details like that. Seems like a scam to me.

These people are using this number, pretending to be officers from Holborn police station in London, trying to scam you out of your bank details. They ring twice; the first call shows up as Holborn police station on your phone, but don’t trust it! They claim someone’s been arrested using a fake version of your card and ask you to verify your card information. Then they call again from this same number. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DON’T GET TRICKED BY THIS.

Got a call from this number earlier today but didn’t share any details. The person told me to ring back using the number on the back of my HSBC card. Luckily, when I contacted HSBC’s Fraud Department, they confirmed the call was legit, even though it wasn’t from the usual card number. So, it’s not a scam, but I’d still advise only calling back through the official HSBC numbers you know.

Totally a SCAM. The number looks like HSBC’s but it definitely isn’t. My sister got a call saying there was fraud on her card and they tried to get details about her HSBC and other bank accounts, claiming they wanted to 'handle it for her'. Got a call claiming to be HSBC fraud dept, they wanted my account number, sort code and phone banking info. Seems dodgy to me.

this number said it was HSBC fraud dept, was quite suspicious coz my father in law got 2 texts from it about £10000 & £5000 being spent in London. so i looked up the number here before calling. i decided not to phone the number they gave and instead rang his local bank even if it was saturday and they were closed. the lady i spoke to was really helpful even with my father in law being partially deaf and having Parkinson’s. IF YOU’RE NOT SURE, ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR OWN BANK!

Got a call from HSBC fraud team. Was a legit call but the way they spoke was weird so I ended the call and rang them back myself. Turns out, my wife’s debit card had been cloned.

Got a legit call from HSBC’s fraud department. They checked with me about some transactions to make sure they were mine and then lifted the hold on my account.

This was truly HSBC's fraud team, but the problem is it was an Indian call centre. After getting loads of scam calls in the last half year, I wasn’t about to waste time. I didn’t share any info on the phone, not even confirm my postcode. HSBC really ought to update how they handle these calls.

HSBC scam alert. The number seemed real. I rang the official HSBC contact just to double check.

Yea, this number is legit. It connects you straight away to a person, but they will ask to confirm your identity so make sure you have your bank info handy (sort code and stuff). I was on the move when I called, only had my card details, and the lady managed to sort everything just fine with that. If you ring the emergency number on the card, you get an automated system first, and it wants all your account info before putting you through to someone, so it takes way longer.

Got a text from this number earlier saying they were from HSBC's fraud team. I called them back to see what was going on, and the first thing she asked for was my sort code and account number. I wasn’t having any of it and said it sounded like a scam. She hung up on me right after that.

I got a legit call and text (tho the message was really poorly written and the call had this rubbish robotic voice, so I can see why folks might be wary!) I made sure it was real by ringing HSBC Premier and asking to be put through. Turns out their fraud system had spotted a dodgy transaction I tried making online. It was actually me, so they blocked then reset my card. Good to know they’re keeping an eye out, but seriously, the messages need to sound way more professional.

Today I got a call that felt pretty familiar. What’s odd is it came right after I put my HSBC credit card on Android Pay and also downloaded the HSBC app on my new phone! Quite the coincidence, if you ask me.

Today my dad, who’s 99, got a text supposedly from HSBC Fraud Prevention, but it didn’t sit right with me.
I decided to look it up and stumbled upon this site. Cheers for that!

Got a text from HSBC Premiere saying I needed to call this number right away for Fraud Prevention. Didn’t really want to call it straight away, so I used the usual number on the back of my card instead. That one was legit, and I felt safer going that way and then getting passed through to Fraud Prevention.

Got a message telling me to call this number straight away. Felt a bit iffy but I phoned anyway. The bloke who answered sounded odd, so I told him I thought it might be a scam. He told me to call HSBC who would just send me back to him. I then spoke to my Premier Account manager, who didn’t know the number but advised me to call again with caution. He said I shouldn’t be asked anything dodgy. The man on the phone wanted my debit card details but I said no and hung up, sure it was a scam.

It was a legit message from HSBC after all. The wording was really confusing and made it sound like a scam. I just wanted to be careful so I rang HSBC directly using the number from their official site.
