Got a call from what I think was a Royal Mail scam. The automated voice told me there was a parcel I needed to pick up, but I haven't bought anything recently and there was no missed delivery note through the door. I’ve just gone ahead and blocked the number now.

This number wasn’t saved in my phone so I just let it ring out.

I never picked up, but earlier in the day I got a message about a Royal Mail parcel, seemed a bit dodgy to me, likely a scam.

I received a robocall claiming to be from Royal Mail regarding a parcel that couldn't be delivered. Curiosity got the better of me, so I pressed "1" and was connected to a so-called operator. According to her, I had an Amazon package worth £12.55 waiting for me, and all I needed to do was cough up £1.55 to get it released. She was adamant about staying on the line to make sure I followed through with the payment, even sending a text with a link to a "Royal Mail" website. Upon inspection, it was blatantly a phishing site, crafted to imitate the genuine article, all to fish for personal details like my bank card info. A quick look around the site revealed errors and failures to load - clear red flags. Fortunately, my bank, Nationwide, has top-notch scam detection services. So, I decided to play along without actually confirming anything. To my surprise, the payment wasn't being made to Royal Mail but to a company named "Grafissia." When I pressed the operator about this oddity, she claimed it was just their payment processor, similar to Worldpay, which immediately sounded dubious. A swift Google search turned up nothing about Grafissia, which stoked my suspicion even further. When I pointed out the lack of information, she became defensive and rudely suggested that if I doubted her credibility, she could just hang up and I could proceed with the payment elsewhere. I kept pushing with further probing questions until she finally cracked and hung up on me. It’s clear as day: this was a scam, no question about it.

I got a call a minute ago showing up as "Royal Mail" on the caller ID. It only rang for around five seconds, which, in my experience, is typical of dodgy callers who hang up quick. Wasn’t really expecting anything important, so didn’t bother picking up.

I received a rather dodgy call this afternoon, purporting to be from Royal Mail. The caller attempted to instruct me on how to collect my parcel, insisting they had made an attempted delivery three days prior, which supposedly required a signature. I queried why I hadn’t received a red card to notify me, and they began rambling on about following their so-called instructions to sort out my parcel. Before I could get another word in, they abruptly hung up. It's crystal clear this is a scam, especially since I've had calls from the same number pretending to be from Talk Talk!

This number just won’t stop ringing me.

I received a message from the post office stating that a parcel required my signature for delivery. While I was indeed awaiting a package, they've previously left items in a secure location for me. Then I was informed I needed to collect it from a sorting office in Hillingdon - naturally, I have no intention of doing that. They then mentioned a £1.99 charge for redelivery and requested my credit card information, along with a prompt to access my banking app on my mobile. Unfortunately, I don’t have the app installed on my phone. That’s where the discussion wrapped up.

My Samsung warned me it was Spam, so I just ignored the call.

Received a couple of eerily quiet calls from this number today.

I had a rather dodgy-sounding call just now. The bloke on the other end pretended to be from TalkTalk, insisting he could assist me with some problems regarding my internet connection. The thing is, TalkTalk isn’t even my provider! Quite baffling, really!

Is this not Royal Mail, then? I've placed an order with HouseArt UK, and I'm starting to wonder if I've fallen victim to a scam. What do you think?
