I got a message from someone claiming to be from Hospedia, saying my mate was at Blackburn hospital and needed me to cover the cost of TV and stuff. They even used her full name, which freaked me out a bit. But when I rang up the hospital, they told me there’s no ward called T3 at all. So yeah, watch out, this is 100% a scam just trying to get your cash. Just thought I’d share so no one else falls for it. The number they used was 03454141234.

Got a message from 08728153950 saying someone was at Basildon hospital and wanted me to get in touch with them either on that number or 03454141234. I had my phone location on and was near the hospital at the time, so it freaked me out a bit, but I couldn't shake off the feeling it might be a scam.

I just got a text saying some random person is at Salisbury hospital (which isn't even right, it's called Salisbury District Hospital) and wanted me to click a link for 08722126758 (which I found out is disconnected) or 03454141234. Turns out, both numbers are premium rate - definitely a scam.

I got this message saying a mate of mine was at Good Hope Hospital and to call 08728486871 or 03454141234. I phoned the first one and got a recorded voice telling me I needed to pay up cause my phone credit had run out, even though I’m on a contract. Definitely a dodgy call, total scam.

I've heard that Erin Taylor's currently in St Thomas' hospital, and it seems her TV package is about to run out.

I don't personally know Erin, but I must say, I'd never fork out for telly while stuck in hospital - it feels like a total con to me.

I had calls from two different numbers and thought it was some kind of scam at first. Then I chatted with my sister and found out it's from the TV in her room, which has a phone connected. If the patient shares your number with the nurse, you get a text like this. Seems legit, but I'm not sure about any charges involved?

Received a rather alarming message today stating that A AAAAAAAAAA wishes for me to be informed they're at Raigmore Hospital. I could ring them on 0702 372 7221 or contact 03454141234 for support. This is quite distressing since Raigmore Hospital is located in Scotland, and my niece is presently enrolled in a course up there. The mobile number cited is concealed, and the 0345 number appears to be a premium rate line! How on earth can I prevent this from recurring, not just for myself but for others as well?
