03453511498 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03453511498 👆 is reported as a number frequently used by callers claiming to be from Lloyds Bank’s fraud department, often via automated messages alerting recipients of suspicious credit card activity. Experiences vary: some confirm it as a genuine Lloyds contact following suspicious transactions, while others warn it is commonly exploited by scammers attempting to phish personal details. Callers typically urge to “press any key,” a practice not used by Lloyds, sparking suspicion. Many recommend ignoring the call, not responding or providing information, and instead contacting Lloyds directly through official numbers found on cards or the bank’s website to verify any alerts. Due to frequent number spoofing by fraudsters, exercising caution and verifying independently is advised to avoid falling victim to financial scams.

Got a robocall claiming to be Lloyds Fraud Team saying there’s weird activity on my credit card. It said “Press any button immediately.” I just hung up. About 30 mins later, got another call like this. Hung up again. Pretty sure this is a scam. Real banks don’t ring you with automated messages like that. They never say “press any key” - they usually give you a list of options. I’m gonna check with Lloyds myself later today, but from a different phone.

I definitely didn’t press any buttons and just hung up. The night before, I attempted to pay Currys for a cooker but it got declined, so I figured it was linked. I called the card company and found out the payment was flagged as suspicious, so they stopped it. They transferred me to another team who lifted the block, but no explanation was given for why it happened. So the call was legit, usually they send a text but I don’t own a mobile.

I just gave up after that.

Said they was from Lloyds Bank. I rang the bank using the number on the back of my card, and they told me it’s a scam.

Supposedly it’s Lloyds Bank calling, but these scammers can copy the number, so u should always ring the number on the back of your bank card. I chatted with the fraud team and they mentioned loads of scams going round now, people clickin on links or emails thinking it’s legit, but it’s not. They told me to always use the number on the card. Banks keep a record of their real numbers and can spot the fakes. They really want you to call them direct instead of getting tricked.

It really was Lloyds Bank calling, but I didn’t answer back. Instead, I rang the number on the back of my credit card and they told me the fraud department needed to get in touch with me.

Got two calls from this number on my landline and mobile earlier today; I didn’t pick up. Funny enough, I also got a couple of texts claiming to be from Lloyds Bank (from 07537 402325), saying a payment was declined on my Amazon account at 9:27 this morning, using the last four digits of my card. They told me to reply ‘yes’ if it was me, or ‘no’ if it wasn’t. Didn’t respond at all! Feels like a scam to me - bit worried they’ve somehow got hold of my phone and card info.

This is a real Lloyds Bank Group number, but keep in mind scammers have faked pretty much every bank's phone numbers these days. You can't be 100% sure if a call is legit or a trick. If you do get a call that claims to be from your bank, trust your gut - listen but don’t give out any details or do anything they ask straight away. End the call, double-check the line is gone, then ring your bank back on the number printed on your card. Don’t just ignore the call as it might be important. Stay alert everyone, these days it’s tough to know what’s real or not.

Called me a couple of times and left a message about a Lloyds Visa card linked to a former staff member (for work expenses) being used fraudulently and a payment getting rejected. I’m not worried since that card’s not active and the person left the company like 10 years back. Seems dodgy to me, probably a scam. I should probably notify Lloyds but honestly, can’t be bothered. JLF.

On New Year's Day 2021, I received two phone calls from this number. The caller left a voicemail claiming that a card registered to a former employee had been attempted for use but was declined. They urged me to get in touch with Lloyds at this specific number. Strangely enough, the person they referred to left the company a decade ago, so it's hard to fathom how a card in their name would even be active. While they got the name right, there’s no way a card linked to someone who departed so long ago would still be in circulation. Honestly, I reckon this is a scam of sorts, or perhaps a sign of sheer ineptitude on Lloyds Bank's part. I can't be bothered to report this or to go through the hassle of contacting Lloyds Bank, particularly given that the caller said the transaction was turned down. What strikes me is how concerning this might be; it’s likely that quite a number of people could fall prey to this if it indeed turns out to be a scam!

This morning I got a couple of dodgy texts on my phone claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. They want you to tap on a link, but trust me, don’t! When that didn’t work, they rang my landline. My phone blocked them, but they keep trying and act like they’re from my bank. Looks like the scammers took a break over Christmas cause I hadn’t heard from them for a few days, but it seems they’re back at it again this morning with the phone scams.

They say they’re from Lloyds bank but theyre just after your debit or credit card details. They’re trying to make it look legit but it’s a classic phishing scam. Some ppl leave nice comments but I reckon they’re either scammers themselves or just dont really know about phishing and online scams. You can easily find out about phishing on Google. So dont bother calling that number. Stick to the one on the back of your card or get it directly from the Lloyds official site. I couldnt see this number anywhere on their website. Cheers.

I got a text saying Lloyds Bank would be in touch, then another one saying a payment to Amazon marketplace had been made from my account. After that, loads of calls came from an 0345 number, which I ignored at first. I rang back and they claimed to be Lloyds, giving my full name. They said they wouldn’t ask for personal info, but then wanted me to pick my date of birth from three options. I hung up straight away and called Lloyds myself, only to be stuck on hold for half an hour now - proper rubbish service. Still not sure if it’s a scam or legit.

Oh wow! Turns out this really was a message from Lloyds Bank! After I managed to get through to them, they told me that at 3:50 this morning (30 Nov) someone tried to use my credit card to buy something from Amazon for £59.98. Thankfully, the bank stopped the transaction and cancelled my card straight away. I also told them I didn’t want a replacement card. So yeah, sorry everyone, this wasn’t a scam after all.

09:10 on 30/11/2020: Got an automated call that said it was Lloyds Bank, even used my name, about some dodgy transaction on a credit card I haven’t touched in over 2 years (I stopped using it after realising they don’t check if there’s enough credit available before charging). The number they wanted me to ring was 03456031754 so I ignored that and rang Lloyds on the number from the card instead. They were busy, so I checked online and there was nothing wrong with my card. Feels like a scam to me, but I’ll call Lloyds again later. Proper annoying!

Got four calls today, Saturday 28th November, all automated. They asked me about three credit card transactions, which I said were fine. I mentioned I’d never been to that shop before and it’s quite a distance from where I live, so I guess the call was actually helpful in the end.

I called Lloyds myself and they said it was definitely a con. Makes me wonder if those earlier comments saying it’s legit are just the scammers trying to boost their rep?

For the past couple of days, I've been getting automated calls mentioning my full name and the last four digits of my credit card. I checked with my bank and my account seems fine, so it’s definitely not them. The weird bit is the first calls came through to my landline but showed a relative’s number from France. Now, the same 0345 number is ringing my mobile. I’m thinking my phone might have been hacked, so looks like I’ll need to wipe all my data soon.

I tried to make a payment on TK using my laptop, but it got declined, probably ‘cause I hadn’t used my card in ages. Then, Lloyds sent me the regular text with the exact time of the transaction, asking me to reply yes or no if it was me, so I could try again. I didn’t pick up the call though, since Lloyds don’t normally ring me. Reading through some comments, I’d say maybe steer clear, but also keep your eyes open since it could just be a freak coincidence that I got a genuine message from Lloyds just hours before, or maybe someone’s watching my phone, TK, or Lloyds stuff.

Indeed, I received a call that was clearly from the fraud department of Lloyds Bank. However, after I rang the number printed on the reverse of my card, they assured me that the call was indeed legitimate. Apparently, they’ve encountered numerous instances of what they dub “test transactions” with certain companies that were ultimately deemed fraudulent. These calls serve to investigate cases where your card information might have been compromised. The best course of action, as others have pointed out, is to phone your bank using a reliable number from another device-or wait long enough for any potential scammer to hang up and look for their next victim.

I got a call that said it was from Lloyds Bank's Card Fraud team, but it was actually an automated message. To be sure, I rang Lloyds back using the number on the back of my card. They told me the call was legitimate. Seems there’ve been loads of fake “test purchases” popping up at certain companies, and these calls are follow-ups for cards that might’ve been involved. Best thing to do, like others have mentioned, is to phone the bank directly on a trusted number - preferably from a different phone or after waiting a bit so you don’t accidentally chat to a scammer.

Been getting loads of calls claiming they’re from Lloyds automated system about suspicious card activity. They even mentioned the last four digits of my card in a text first. I looked it up and turns out it’s probably a scam. Found quite a few reports online of people getting the exact same calls, even folks who don’t bank with Lloyds at all. Definitely dodgy.
