This is definitely a con, dont click on any links in the message. They say it’s from the Halifax fraud team but the number they use to contact you is 02008385586. If you go on their link, they’ll probably drain your bank account. Be careful out there and keep spreading the word!

0345 351 1497 is actually a legit number from Halifax to report fraud! I spoke with Halifax myself and they told me this is the number they use when warning customers about suspicious activity on their accounts. Don’t believe the people saying it’s a scam, it freaked me out loads seeing those comments cause I thought I’d been conned, so I rang Halifax just to be sure. If you’re not comfy calling that number back, you can always find the official one on their website instead! Cheers.

Received a call from 03453510271 earlier, linked to Halifax. Didn't pick up, but got a voicemail from 03453511497 saying there might be some dodgy activity on my credit card. They told me to ring back straight away and gave a 3-digit PIN ‘287’ to use. I double-checked it against the official numbers on my credit card statements and after realising it’s not legit, I’ve decided to report it.
