So I rang Barclays myself to check if they wanted to speak to me, and guess what, they didn’t. This number is definitely dodgy and tries to get your security details - watch out!

I keep getting calls from this number all the time over the last couple of months, saying they’re from Barclays. When I pick up, it’s always some kind of automated voice. This has got to be a scam! Banks might phone you now and again, but they never use automated messages, and the number always matches the one on your bank statement. If you’re unsure, just tell them you’re busy and will call the bank yourself to check - the scammers usually hang up straight away once you say that.

They left a voicemail saying something about porting, but the funny thing is, they got my middle name completely wrong even though the first and last names were spot on.
