I got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I hadn’t paid enough tax and that they were going to send a warrant to arrest me. They said if I pressed 1, I could chat to an officer and sort out the payment right there on the call. Definitely a scam!

This number called me pretending to be from HMRC and started threatening to have me arrested. It’s a right scary scam and seems like they use different fake identities. Wouldn't trust it at all!

A few weeks back, my aunt nearly got caught out by some con artists claiming they were from HMRC, trying to scam her for more than £600! Luckily, she didn't get tricked and we've blocked the number since then. These types are just preying on vulnerable people, it's awful.
