Got a call where someone wanted me to confirm a payment I supposedly made.

Someone called me claiming to be from my bank’s fraud team, saying there was an attempt to use my card for a purchase in Manchester. They said they’d block my card and send me a replacement. Luckily, it was just a spare card with nothing on it, and ironically, I tried to pay for a delivery with it last week which turned out to be a scam as well.

This number has rung a few times but I've never got a voicemail from them. Strange how they keep calling and then just go quiet, no message left at all.

They called saying money was taken from my bank account. I asked for details about my most recent transaction to see if they were legit and they just ended the call. Looks like a dodgy scam, watch out!

Some bloke rang me saying he was from the "Lloyds Fraud Prevention Team" and even used my real name, which made it sound proper official. But as I don’t bank with Lloyds at all, I quickly worked out it was a dodgy scam. He kept going on about suspicious payments from my account or something like that.

Watch out, this is a scam. They call pretending someone tried to charge your card and somehow already have all your info. Don’t talk to ’em, just hang up immediately. I nearly got ripped off for nearly £300 thanks to these scammers.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Lloyds Bank’s fraud team. They actually knew my name, which was a bit worrying. They kept ringing from different numbers, but I’ve blocked them all now.

Someone rang pretending to be from Lloyds fraud department, already knowing my full name, DOB and address. They wanted to know the last thing I bought with my card and the balance I had left. They even asked me to log into my online banking to look for suspicious activity. Thankfully, I got a bad feeling about it and phoned Lloyds myself - turns out it was a total scam.
