I got this number from an app claiming to be from tsb, supposed to help me log into online banking. The app just kept rejecting my info and told me to ring this number to fix my mobile internet access registration. The man on the other end sounded Asian and kept asking for my details, so i gave him my sort code, account number and name. But after reading the reviews here, i quickly ended the call. It definitely feels like a scam trying to steal bank details and should be blocked. I also phoned tsb, but they seem to do nothing about these dodgy phone numbers.

Got a letter with the wrong name on it, looks proper official from Lloyds Bank. Rang this number, there was a wait, the voice message sounded really genuine, but when I said my name was private, the woman just cut me off. Be careful, it seems very authentic, the only reason I didn’t share any details is cos I don’t even have an account with Lloyds.

Got a call at 7:50pm from a bloke saying he was from the HALIFAX FRAUD TEAM about two "strange" transactions on my card that they supposedly stopped to check if I’d approved them. I was instantly wary and when I asked if he was basically admitting to trying to do something dodgy, he went off on me, asking if I’d "lost the plot". Luckily, I know my bank would never speak to me like that, so I just ended the call. I’ve also informed my bank about it. Absolute scum trying to scam honest folks out of their cash 😡

Got a message on my phone saying thanks for my latest login info. I rang up Lloyds Bank who did confirm the number does belong to them, but warned it’s possible scammers could mimic it to trick folks into ringing back. Got a call from this number around 10.25pm, some bloke claiming he was from the bank’s fraud team. Sounded really legit, said someone had tried to take £299 out of my account and he was gonna stop it, then give me new bank details because apparently my account was hacked! He even knew the last 4 digits of my account and my postcode, told me to open my banking app, go to payments and transfers, then he’d provide a new sort code and account number under my current account name! Felt really dodgy, especially when he said I should start using the new bank info as my new account.

0345 300 0116 rang me, and they started asking for my login info and passwords. Just a heads up, Lloyds bank never asks for your password over the phone. I challenged them to prove my address but they couldn’t. I played along for a bit, then told them I knew they were scammers, and they quickly ended the call.

Replying to comment from 10/8. I've been getting these letters about two accounts supposedly from Lloyds over at Andover, asking me to send my email address. Got loads over the past few weeks. Tried ringing the number but couldn’t get through. Contacted Lloyds using numbers on their website and they said they can't find any record of the 03450300 0116 number but confirm letters went out. Not sure if it’s legit or a scam. Either way, I’m not giving them my email, and honestly, I’m thinking of switching banks - fed up with Lloyds and their attitude.
