We got caught out by one of those delivery fee scams. The very next evening, a number claiming to be from Lloyds fraud team rang us up, saying a scammer had attempted payments to Vodafone and messed with our home internet. But we promptly ended the call because we knew it wasn’t their real number - we’d already contacted Lloyds the day before to cancel the card.

I got a call from someone pretending to be Barclaycard, saying there was suspicious activity on my account linked to Apple Pay. They told me I’d get a code to send back to them to cancel the card, but really that code would have just set up Apple Pay for their use. Definitely a scam to watch out for.

Got a call saying some money had been withdrawn from my account and they wanted my bank info.

Somebody calling faked being from Lloyds Bank, saying they needed my card details to stop my account getting blocked. Be careful, it’s totally a scam!

I got a call from someone pretending to be from HSBC’s fraud department. They told me there had been some dodgy activity on my account and asked me to verify if it was me or not. They sent me some codes to my mobile and then told me to say them out loud, which I did without thinking. Next thing I knew, over £1,000 had been taken from my credit card and moved to a Revolut account! Proper scammers.
