I've got a call blocker on my phone, so the call never actually went through. Still, the number has been buzzing me about three times every day for the past few days, and it's starting to get really annoying.

They've called my landline three times this week now, always hangin up when no one's pickin up. Total scam if you ask me. Just to be clear, Scottish Power’s proper contact ends with 0700, definitely not 0201. Best to just ignore these calls.

Got a call from this number yet again tonight, had one from them just last night as well. At first, there was a foreign-sounding operator who kept saying hello with lots of background noise like a busy office, then it switched to a man’s automated voice saying to ring back, claiming to be Scottish Power. But it never said why I needed to get in touch. I’ve flagged it as spam and am going to block the number now - really tiring of these constant calls.

Got a voicemail around 5:41pm tonight from a bloke with a robotic voice saying he was from Scottish Power. He asked me to ring back but the message dropped out halfway and didn’t say what it was about. I have no idea why they’d be phoning me and the number didn’t look like the one on their official site, so I’m thinking it might be dodgy. Not sure if it’s legit or a scam, so just be careful if you get a call like that.

Got a call from Scottish Power about sorting a smart meter appointment. I looked into it and it seems fine, nothing dodgy at all. The message I got confirming the appointment was from the same number that sends my usual bill reminders. If you don’t want a smart meter, probably best to block it cos they might keep calling, could be annoying. But from what I've seen, it’s nothing harmful.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Scottish Power about installing a smart meter. The lady sounded European and said her name was Andrea. I cut the call short. Later that evening, they rang again but I ignored it and blocked the number. Just a couple days before that, I got another dodgy call from a woman with a strong accent, maybe Indian, from this number 0161 564 3127 saying she was from O2 about my SIM card. I’m not even with O2. Pretty sure these are connected scam teams trying the same tricks.

Got a call on 30th December and my phone marked it as a “nuisance?”. The message was just a voicemail with a number to call them back, nothing else.
